Green Roof Training - Upcoming Workshops & Courses

Information regarding upcoming green roof training courses and workshops, mostly delivered by Dusty Gedge and John Little. An overview of the Small Scale Green Roof Workshops can be found at the bottom of the page.

Feedback from participants of previous workshops.

"I found the course not only outstripped my expectations for how much information and data was imparted, but also how creatively it was organised. I thought the practical half way through was a great idea, as that answered a lot of questions kinetically and I loved the site visits." Sarah - Brighton Workshop, June 2009

"If you have even just a vague interest in finding out more about green roofs I can totally recommend doing this course. Dusty and johns enthusiasm is infectious and they totally demystify the world of green roofs and an ecosystems services approach. It was fun, practical and inspirational and left me eager to get building!" Sam - Brighton Workshop, June 2009

"Best value course I've ever done, practical, informative, it's all you need to get started, well recommended" Ruth -Brighton Workshop, June 2009

"Just to say that the green roof course course was fab. I feel inspired to install a green roof on every flat surface right now! I will send a picture of my green roof on the recycling box that I plan to make once it is complete. I took the roof we built to the Transition Farnham meeting, and hopefully will inspire others to take the course too!" Paula - Brighton Workshop, June 2009

"Brilliant, no-one can afford to miss this course" Eric Blackburn - Brighton Workshop, June 2009

Additionally a CD Rom with practical information will be given to participants at the end of the day.

Background information will be provided on green roofs, their history and evolution, and also on the selection and purchase of suitable plants and substrates to be used on a green roof. Details will also be given about the availability of all the materials used during the day.
